Tim Shamburger, Mission Service Corps Missionary

Tim was approved officially as a Mission Service Corps Missionary on November 2, 2010. Praise the Lord! Continue to pray for us as we take this exciting next step in the adventure in missions that God has taken us.

Mission Service Corps was established in 1977 by the Southern Baptist Convention as part of our efforts to expand the missionary force to reach the world for Christ.

Mission Service Corps (MSC) is a team of long-term, self-funded missionaries. By securing their own support for an assigned ministry, these missionaries enable the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to extend its evangelism and church planting efforts.

The genius of MSC is that it is structured so that every Southern Baptist can be directly involved.  For some, involvement means a willingness to go and serve; for others, it is becoming ministry partners to financially support someone else to go.  For still others, it means faithfully praying for those who go and those who support as ministry partners; and for many, it is a combination of these.
